SVC Adult Dressage Camp, September 13-16, 2007

at
Eventful Acres, Oregon House, CA

This year's Dressage Camp was every bit as great as last year. All day, for 4 days, we thought and talked horses. Friday, we had the possibility of having a dressage lesson, a cavaletti lesson, try out quadrille and vaulting. I barely had time to eat all the delicious food and share wine with my friends.

Vaulting is something I have always wanted to try. I will never forget getting on the horse, Georgie, to do the very basic vaulting moves. First, I tried some moves while Georgie stood perfectly still, then the walk, then the trot. It was exhilarating. Only a few tried vaulting. I hope Georgie comes back next year and more people try vaulting.

My horse, Monte, was even asked to partner with Sandy Savage to demonstrate proper seat and position. He had a long day and went to bed tired. Then we did more the next day. On Saturday we had all the choices from Horses, food, wine, friends and perfect weather. I cannot wait until next year.
